Club condemns encroachment of land, Bhabananda assures to raise matter at Parliament

Condemning the encroachment of land towards Manipur by Myanmar, Thangmeiband United Club has appealed to those concerned to stop the encroachment and stated that not a even an inch of Manipur's land can be lost to any country.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, vice president of the club, Leishangthem Pratap stated that Thangmeiband United Club took part in a meeting called by different CSOs on June 30.A team of Thangmeiband United Club went to Kwatha to inspect the erection of a pillar in the State's land by Myanmar.
He expressed extreme sadness when around 2 to 3 kilometres of State's land was encroached by the neighbouring country, Myanmar.
The club condemns the denial of border issue between India and Myanmar by Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju and his false statement declaring that no portion of the country's territory has been lost to Myanmar.
Pointing out that the State Government has assured not to give away even an inch of land, he asked why the Government has sealed its lips and failed to take up any steps when it is clear that some portions of State land have indeed been breached.
Keeping aside the political difference, all political leaders should come together and take back the land which has been taken by another country.
Meanwhile, MP Kshetrimayum Bhabananda has also condemned the encroachment of land by Myanmar and assured to bring up the issue at the Parliament.
He made this statement during the inaugural ceremony of BJP Keishamthong Mandal office at Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai yesterday.
The ceremony was also attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh spokesperson RK Shivchandra, BJP Keishamthong Mandal president as well as BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary K Sarat.
Condemning the erection of border pillar by encroaching some portions towards Manipur, Ksh Bhabananda said that not a piece of land should be lost.
He further assured that the issued will be introduced at the Parliament and the Central Govt will be pressured to take back the land.
Inauguration of another BJP Mandal will strengthen the party, he added.
The party aims to fill up both the inner and outer seats in.
the 2019 Member of Parliament election of Manipur with BJP representatives, he said.
