It was unanimously decided in the general meeting to oppose the proposed NLUP and the Gazette Notification for introduction of VDC.

It would completely affect the age old traditional village administration.
Kuki Inpi Manipur had also convened a meeting with the Ministers, MP, MLAs and ADC members from the Kuki community at Classic Hotel on September 14 conveying their strong opposition of the State Government's VDC and NLUP policies.
The statement further urged the CM to take up necessary steps for the immediate cancellation of VDC Gazette Notification and the proposed New Land Use Policy at the earliest in the interest of Kuki community in particular and the tribal community in general.
