Imphal, May 16 2014 :
The Poumai Tsiidoumai Me (Paomata) or the Paomata Students' Union has asserted that the oust Nasir campaign spearheaded by ATSUM (T) does not make any sense while urging ATSUM (T) to have a rethinking on the case and try to see the two faces of the coin for justice deliverance.
A press statement issued by P Jacob, I&P secretary of PNTM (P) said it believed that the charges leveled upon one minority Minister, Md Abdul Nasir and the unending demand for his ouster are based only on half information and unauthenticated allegations.
The campaing spearheaded by ATSUM (T) is not the real aspiration of the Manipur tribal as the students' body is not the mandate of the tribal and cannot be treated as a tribal issue which is truely an officious matter, it said.
Since the issue arises out of a SMDC school construction where the Minister is the Chairman and ZEO is the member secretary, the issue merits a family matter between the two rather than trying to make a bigger issue in the name of tribal, it said while appealing to all communities of the State not to take into account such individual differences into a serious issue which might destroy the social fabrics of the State.
Manipur tribal are peace loving and will work relentlessly for the peaceful coexistence and harmony in the State, it asserted.
