Abducted driver rescued after 26 days

CCpur, January 16 2019:
The driver/operator of a road grader machine who was abducted for ransom money while engaging in construction of Singngat-Chura Road was reportedly rescued today, 26 days after he went missing, by the Assam Rifles from Henglep area sources said.
Kaireuben, a resident of Mata village was abducted from his worksite on December 21, last year.
Several CSOs have made repeated appeals for his safe release prior to Christmas and the subsequent New Year celebration but his whereabout remains unknown until today.
With details of the rescue still murky as the driver himself is yet to reach home even at the time of filing this report, how and when or where exactly was he rescued remains pending.
Nevertheless, a photo of the driver with unshaved beard was already in circulation on social media with some crediting 25 AR for the rescue but the claims could not be independently verified.
Sources from the family said he may arrive home at about 11 pm tonight with a team each from the Assam Rifles and the local police accompanying him.
