Imphal, September 02 2012:
Kuki National Front (KNF) has strongly denied the report under the headline 'Will blood flow in Manipur this autumn?' which appeared in this paper on its September 2 edition.
In a statement, General Secretary of KNF Aaron Kipgen asserted that the report of KNF trying to attack Naga settlements in August-September this year and raising fund for it is totally baseless and irresponsible.
It seems to be a handiwork of some vested interested persons who are hell-bent on trying to give a communal tinge and create misunderstanding and chaos between the Nagas and the Kukis.
KNF is a constituent unit of UPF, which is engaged in a serious talks (SoO) with the Government of India and the State to bring about a political solution suitable to all the hill tribes of Manipur including the Nagas, and hence KNF has no such ferocious design against our Naga brethrens, Aaron Kipgen said, while reiterating that the news report was irresponsible and it was intended to crate communal division among.
the hill areas apart from reminding 'us of the bitter experiences while we are living together in peace' .
This is highly condemned by KNF and will not be tolerated in future, Aaron Kipgen added.
