Thadou Students' Association, Chandel conducts inspection tour

Thadou Students' Association, Chandel district completed its special inspection tour to Governed schools of the district today.
The team not only inspected the conditions of the schools but also distributed comodes under Total Sanitation Campaign undertaken by PHED Chandel, said a press release.
Mentioning insuficient number of teachers in most of the schools, the inspection report suggested to depute more teachers to these schools.
For instance, at Tolbung Village Primary School, one teacher is managing around 50 students.
Saying that Khengjoy Sub-Division has around 515 students, the association said that these students are mostly pursuing education in private institutions at Sugnu, Pallel and Moreh etc.
On the light of the above fact, the association demanded the Government to set up four high schools and two higher secondary schools at the Sub-Division.
The association also expressed thanks to all the AR Posts located from Chahmol village to New Samtar for extending support and co-operation in the succesful conduct of the inspection tour.
The students body also urged the authority concerned to look into the progress of road construction works being undertaken by BRTF along the stretch.
