National Integration Camp begins at Thoubal

Thoubal, February 20 2013:
A week-long National Integration Camp was inaugurated today at the Counting Hall of DC office, Thoubal.
The integration camp is being organised by NYK Thoubal under the auspices of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India.
The camp aims to provide an opportunity to the youths coming from different parts of the country to learn the culture, language, and the sartorial habits of the people through different programmes and activities.
While inaugurating the 7 days Camp, L Tilotama, Vice Chairperson, Board of Governors, NYKS Delhi categorically pointed out that the future of India depends upon the youths of the country.
Tilotama advised the youths to sharpen the knowledge and fight with the brain and new ideas.
She also stressed on the urgency of education and skill development among the youths.
The participating youths coming from Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh presented their traditional songs.
Teams from West Bengal, Assam, Sikkim will participate in the camp.
Apart from the youths from other states, selected youths from six districts of Manipur are also participating in the national level NIC.
Welcoming the delegates, Y Laksman Singh highlighted the detailed programmes and activities of the camp while Jackie Ruivah, Zonal Director and Mufti Fariduddin, Member, State Haj Committee, Manipur were the Guest of Honour in the Inaugural function.
Speaking as the president of the inaugural function, T Ranjit Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal advised the youths for change of views and ideas.
He also made a sincere appeal to all the participating youths to aviod bad habit and bad company while urging the youth to build up the feeling of oneness among the youths.
