Minister, ADC Chairman, CSOs mourn RK Peter's demise

Tribal Affairs & Hills Minister N Kayisii, Chairman ADC, United Naga Council (UNC), All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Naga Women Union Manipur (NWUM), NPF, Tenyimi People Organization (TPO), Maram Students' Union (MKS), NPO, GPRN and other apex tribal organizations condoled the demise of RK Peter, the veteran Maram Naga Leader.
Following the protocols of COVID-19 guidelines and maintaining physical distancing, a private condolence service was arranged by Maram Union in honour of L RK Kamba Peter at the residential compound of the bereaved family at Maram Centre Village on Friday.
N Kayisii in his condolence notes described Peter as a nobleman, bright soul and one of the tallest leaders for the people in Senapati District.
The Minister expressed that Peter rendered active service in various capacities as a public leader and as an advisory figure during his lifetime.
The Minister than shared his deepest condolences to the bereaved family, near and dear ones of Lt.Peter and prayed for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
Chairman, Autonomous District Council (ADC), Senapati, A Kapapani in a message note described Peter as a great social worker who had worked relentlessly for the people of Senapati District.
Remembering him as a former Chairman of ADC of Senapati, A Kapani expressed the demise of Peter a great loss for the whole district.
Earlier, Maram Union president, K Raisong led the condolence message by remembering Kamba Peter.
Words of tributes were also shared by former Minister, Francis Ngajokpa, former Deputy Speaker K Raina and by his closest comrades.
Welcome and brief Introduction was done by Pungdi Celestine, general secretary Maram Union and acknowledgement was done by John, president Maram Thangal Council.
