Officials inspect Jiribam Railway Station, school playground

Jiribam, May 09 2020:
In view of the initiative taken up by the State Government to bring back State's natives stranded outside Manipur, a team of officials from different departments headed by SP Jiribam M Mubi Singh inspected the preparatory works carrying out at Jiribam Railway Station and the playground of Jiribam Higher Secondary School among others, today.
Officials from Jiribam police, PWD, PHED, Health and Electricity were present in the inspection drive.
Speaking to media persons by the sideline of the drive, M Mubi said that about 1,200 State denizens stuck at Chennai and Bengaluru will be brought back to Manipur in 24 train bogies.
The SP appealed to all Manipuris who will be evacuated in a specially arranged train to adhere to the guidelines laid down by the Government and experts to stop COVID-19 transmission in the State.
Used hand sanitizers frequently, refrain from spitting, nose blowing and other habits that release respiratory droplets from one body in public places, the SP further appealed.
