Villagers visit Khenthailiu

Seeing the recovery of Khenthailiu Rongmei
(32) of Sinpa village, Tamenglong district who is suffering from a
rare a spinal cord illness, villagers visited JNIMS and met Director
Deben Laishram and Imphal East and Tamenglong districts Chief
Judicial Magistrate A Noutuneshwari Devi to express profound
gratitude for the life-saving and humane moves yesterday.
Khenthailiu's father Ramsing Gangmei was among the
villagers who visited JNIMS.
Ramsing, village elder Ribuiyang Gonmei along with Di-
rector Deben Laishram, Imphal East and Tamenglong districts
Chief Judicial Magistrate A Noutuneshwari and Legal Aid
Clinic Advocate K Dhane visited Khenthailiu who has been
recuperating under the care and treatment of JNIMS medical
staff members.
Khenthailiu's father, who was tearfully delighted on see-
ing her daughter recovering well, said the assistance offered
by Dr Deben Laishram and A Noutuneshwari Devi would be
remembered always not only by the family but also by the
villagers.
Village elder Ribuiyang Gonmei said, "We can notice
that Khenthailiu is fast recovering.
She was not able to move
her legs when we visited last time.
Now, she can even stand
up and walk on her own and this is something we all have
been praying for.
We are very much indebted to JNIMS
medical staff members particularly Director Deben Laishram
and Noutuneshwari Devi for going the extra mile to help
Khenthailiu." A Noutuneshwari Devi also expressed happi-
ness over the successful recovery of Khenthailiu and added
that to see her living a life like any other healthy person will
bring joy to all the people who have been praying for her.
