Patkai Christian Academy (PCA) observed its annual social meet under the theme of 'Traditional Culture today' at its PCA campus today.
Located at Changraphung, Shangshak, 19 kms from district headquarters of Ukhrul, Patkai Christian Academy is the first and the lone institutions of the State which is affiliated to the Council of the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE).
The Academy was established in 2001 by Rev.Dr.Tuisem A.Shishak with only 24 students and 5 teachers.
Today the Academy has a total strength of 203 students and 14 teachers.
During the programme, Gerry Arathoon, additional secretary and officiating chief executive and secretary, ISCE, New Delhi was the chief guest while Wungzan A.Shishak, retired chief justice and chairman of Manipur Human Rights Commission delivered the key note and welcome address.
Presentation of special songs, skits, keyboard recital and Thang-Ta (Manipuri martial Art) demonstration and enthralling performance of Reuben Mashangva and his promising son were among other attractions of the event attended thousands of people including students, their parents, social work ers, intellectuals and other high ranking officials of the district.
