Troops of 31 Assam Rifles have apprehended two more Myanmarese travelling to Imphal without any valid document from Khudengtabi check post today.
According to a statement released by PRO Assam Rifles, based on specific information, troops of 31 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) located at permanent vehicle check post at Khudengtabi carried out detailed checks and apprehended two Myanmar Nationals travelling to Imphal without valid documents today.
The two Myanmarese Nationals were being accompanied by an Indian National, the PRO informed.
Identifying the two arrested Myanmar Nationals as Hammad Khan (15) of Mandalay and Ridwan Khan (18) of Sagaing, the PRO conveyed that during interrogation, the Myanmar Nationals stated that they were proceeding to a Madrassa in Imphal for further studies and were being accompanied by the Indian National for the same purpose.
The arrested Myanmar Nationals have been handed over to the Immigration Office at Moreh and the Indian National to the Moreh Police Station, the PRO added.
