Christmas celebrated with exuberance at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, December 29 2018:
Ukhrul is celebrating a weeklong Christmas with mesmerising and colourful lights across the town.
Right from the Christmas eve, the Ukhrul's denizen are braving the freezing winter night with Christmas carol in bandwagon celebrating the birthday of Jesus Christ.
As a part of the festival, competitions of football, volleyball, table tennis, basket ball, and six men aside soccer among others have been organised by the Churches for the youth.
The first established Church of Manipur "Phungyo Baptist Church (PBC)" also organised a fancy dress competition.
The competition charmed many visitors and added colour to the weeklong observation.
Bible bee, Bible hunt, choreography etc were also held as a literary event in PBC Tangrei.
Packed jaggery and a basin called "Shimlaksa" in Tangkhul dialect were distributed to all the household members of PBC Church as a Christmas gift.
It might be mentioned that the festive season of Christmas is a time for all families to get together, host feast and arrange gifts for near and dear one to share the joy of Christmas and spread the message of love and humanity.
