ISKCON youth fest kicks off

In commemoration of the golden jubilee of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), a youth festival christened Achintya was kick-started at ISKCON Mani Mandir complex, Airport Road today.
The opening ceremony of the four day festival being organised ISKCON Youth Forum was graced by MLA Dr Irengbam Ibohalbi, ISKCON Guru Bhakti Vyas Tritha Swami and Editors' Guild Manipur president Ahongsangbam Mobi as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
The opening day featured a debating competition of students on the topic "Communal harmony in Manipur is possible only through inter-faith dialogue" .
The next three days would feature slogan writing competition, short story telling competition and photography contest.
Workshops and seminars on different topics would be held during the four-day festival.
Dance and music programmes would add a gleeful flavour to the festival where an exhibition of handloom and handicraft products is also held.
