Mega medical camp held

Continuing its tradition of rendering services to the community, Rotary Club of Imphal in association with Hengbung Youth Club conducted a mega free health camp at Hengbung, Senapati district today.
Altogether, 40 doctors attended the free camp.
Over 2000 person from neighbouring villages of Hengbung were treated at the mega health camp which was conducted as part of the Community Service Programme of Rotary Club of Imphal (RID 3240) under the supervision of Community Services, Director, Prem Pebam.
Staff and ophthalmologist from Shija Eye Care Foundation attended patients with eye problems.
Diagnomate, a medical instrument agency of the State provided various instruments to test blood sugar level, Pap smear or Pap test etc for the camp.
President of Rotary Club of Imphal Lairenjam Manoranjan said that the medical camp was held under community service of the Rotary Club.
The camp is the first of its kind organised by the club this year.
Other medical camps will be held in different parts of the State in the coming days, he added.
Manoranjan also thanked Hengbung Youth Club for extending their support in organizing the mega free health camp.
Rotary club members including former president Dr Kh Palin, Dr Th Dhabali and other prominent Rotarians attended the camp.
The camp provided free medicines to patients.
