Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has reportedly agreed to meet 60 to 70 percent of the demands of All Tribal Students' Uion Manipur, during a joint meeting held at the Chief Minister's Secretariat this evening.
Talking to media-persons after the meeting, spokesperson of ATSUM Joseph R Hmar said that the Chief Minister has given his approval to ensure 60 to 70 percent of the demands of the student body.
However, Joseph did not divulge the details of meeting and the demands that the Chief Minister has agreed to fulfil.
In the light of the assurance given by the Chief Minister, ATSUM has convened a meeting at Senapati at 11 am tomorrow to discuss whether it would continue with its ongoing agitation or to call it off, Joseph informed.
According to information received here, five representatives of the student body participated in the joint meeting which was also attended by almost all the Ministers of the SPF Government.
