New school building inaugurated

There is need for efficient teachers in order to give quality education to the future pillars of the society, said Patsoi Zilla Parishad Member Thokchom Sumanta.
The ZP Member was speaking as chief guest at the inauguration function of new building of Glory English School at Sagolband Tera Sadokpam Leikai today.
He said that education is not only the backbone of the society but also plays key role in deciding the future of the society.
Contending that quality education could not be brought by the Government and the authority concerned alone, Sumanta pointed out that there is need for collective efforts of students, guardians, neighbours and teachers.
Maintaining that attending school for namesake would not serve the purpose, the ZP Member observed that there is need for not only thorough understanding of the matters written in books but also inculcate the sense of competition in the minds of students.
Speaking on the roles of the teachers, Sumanta mentioned about the need of having competition amongst teachers in this regard.
During his speech, the ZP Member also announced that he would donate Rs 50000 and two street solar lights to the school.
All Manipur Recognised Private Schools Welfare Association Advisor N Tomba was the president of the function while Lamjaotongba Gram Panchayat Pradhan RK Gunileima and Ward Member Kh Tombi were the guests of honour.
