The event was inaugurated by TT Haokip, Chairman, Hill
Areas Committee.
Appreciating the effort of KSO, TT Haokip encouraged

Dr A Barindra Sharma, Head, IHBT-RIMS explained the
technical aspects of blood donation to the volunteers and stated
that blood obtained from voluntary donors is free from con-
tamination.
More than 100 volunteers donated 1 unit each of
blood to RIMS blood bank.
KSO not only work for the welfare of the student but also
renders relentless service to people in need of medical attention
especially poor people who visit Imphal for health treatment,
KSO said in a statement.
Patients who require blood transfusion and their families
often faced problem for dearth of blood in the blood banks.
Therefore it is the intention of KSO to augment and facili-
tate the blood bank in hospitals so that these problems are
averted, the student body said.
