Imphal, May 13 2017:
In connection with the
resettlement and dedication
programme for Namthanjang
village which is to be held by
New Keithelmanbi Area
Chiefs' Association
(NKACA), Rongmei Naga
Council (RNC), Manipur has
appealed to NKACA to refrain
from interfering into the
ongoing proceedings of
RNCM customary court which
is attempting to bring amicable
settlement.
In a statement, RNCM said
that the whole villagers have
been living peacefully.
In-
stances of disturbance in the
village were created by un-
lawful elements from outside
the village.
As such, resettle-
ment and dedication is not
needed.
RNCM urged NKACA to
call off the proposed pro-
gramme in order to avert
unnecessary misunderstand-
ing and confusion among the
people.
