26th State Level Yogasana Championship concludes

Kakching, November 11 2018: District Yoga Training and Research Association (DYTRA) Kakching, under the aegis of Manipur State Yoga Association (MSYA), has concluded 26th State Level Yogasana Championship 2018 at Library and Information Centre Kakching today.

The inaugural ceremony yesterday was attended by Kakching Municipal Council (KMC) Chairperson Naorem Sanjit, DYTRA Kakching chairman Kshetrimayum Mangi Singh, KMC Ward No 4 Councillor Pukhrambam Sanahal, Ward No 9 Councillor Ksh Radhamani Devi, Ward No 6 Councillor Nongmaithem Narjit Singh, president Library and Information Centre Kakching Pukhrambam Shampha Singh and Regional Research Institute-Homeopathy Imphal Officer in Charge Dr Thokchom Ojit Singh as presidium members.

The competition was held in 16 categories age-wise.

213 competitors participated in the event.

In age group 20-25 years category (Women), Moirangthem Ronita Devi of DYTRA Kakching bagged the first prize while Elangbam Nandarani Chanu of Yoga & Nature Cure Home Khundrakpam and Thongam Rojita Chanu of DYTRA Kakching bagged the second and third prizes.

In 50 years above category (Men), Nongmaithem Manichou Singh of DYTRA Kakching, Phurailatpam Surjamani Sharma of Yoga Training and Research Centre Manipur and N Ibohal Singh of Kangleilel Yoga Training & Research Centre (KYTRC), Imphal bagged the first, second and third prizes respectively.

In 50 years above category (Women), Takhellambam Chosini Devi of Para Vidya Yoga Sanstha, Imphal, Hijam Shantibala Devi of Yoga Training and Research Centre Manipur and Kshetrimayum Binashakhi Devi of DYTRA Kakching bagged the first, second and third positions respectively.

In age group 40-45 years category (Men), Ngathem Shomen Singh, Suvash Elangbam of KYTRC Imphal and Athokpam Nabachandra of Nature Cure and Yoga Hospital Kongba bagged the first, second and third positions respectively.

In 40-45 years category (Women), Ningthoujam Memthoi Devi of DYTRA Kakching and Ayekpam Bedashastri Devi of KYTRC Imphal were adjudged first position.

Ningthoujam Geeta Devi of DYTRA Kakching and Laishram Ibecha Chanu of Institute of Yoga & Composite Healing (IYCH) Nambol Thiyam were adjudged second and third position respectively.

In age group 30-40 years (Men), Rajkumar Koireng Singh of IYCH Nambol Thiyam, Nongthombam Chitaranjan and Ksh Nimai Singh DYTRA kakching were adjudged first, second and third positions respectively.

In age-group 30-40 years category (Women), Mayengbam Sharmila Devi, Salam Sharmila Devi of DYTRA Kakching and Ksh Rupamala Devi, Nature Cure & Yoga Hospital Kongba were adjudged first, second and third positions respectively.

In age group 25-30 years (Men), Nongmeithem Menden Singh and Mayanglambam Govinda Singh of DYTRA Kakching were adjudged first and second.

In age group 25-30 years category (Women), Moirangthem Ranjana Devi of DYTRA Kakching was adjudged first position while M Bidyarani Devi and Maibam Anita Devi of DYTRA kakching were adjudged second position.

N Thoibi Devi of DYTRA Kakching was adjudged third position.

In age group 20-25 years (Men), Yambem Binesh Singh, Moirangthem Bisheshwar Singh and Mayanglambam Subash Singh of DYTRA Kakching were adjudged first, second and third respectively.

In 15-20 years category (Boys), Chingakham Happyson Singh of Yoga Centre Achanbigei, Laishram Shakhenba Singh of DYTRA Kakching and Aribam Naresh Sharma of Nature Cure and Yoga Hospital Kongba were adjudged first, second and third respectively.

In 15- 20 years category (Girls), Yengkhom Bale Devi, Maibam Chitarani Devi and P Kamala Devi of DYTRA kakching were adjudged first, second and third respectively.

In 11-15 years category (Boys), Yengkhom Roshan, Moirangthem Malemnganba and Moirangthem Dhananjoy singh of DYTRA kakching were adjudged first, second and third respectively.

In 11-15 years category (Girls), Jenifer Thongam of YTRC Manipur, Maibam Pushparani Devi and Laitonjam Roshini Devi of DYTRA Kakching were adjudged first, second and third respectively.

In age group 8-11 years category (Boys), Moirangthem Yaiphaba Meetei of KYTRC Imphal, Ngangom Luwangba Singh of YTRC Manipur and Naorem Lukash Singh of DYTRA kakching were adjudged first, second and third respectively.

In age group 8-11 years category (Girls), Nongmeithem Preety Devi, Ksh Lanchenbi Devi and Pukhrambam Rashi Devi of DYTRA were adjudged first, second and third respectively.

The closing ceremony today was attended by Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Y Khemchand Singh, Kakching AC MLA Y Surchandra Singh, Chairperson KMC N Sanjit, president MSYA O Budhi Singh and chairman DYTRA Kakching Ksh mangi Singh as presidium members.

The event mourned the demise of former founder secretary of DYTRA Kakching Nongmaithem Meghachandra.
