Imphal, February 03, 2013:
The United People's Party of Kangleipak (UPPK) and its armed wing Kangleipak People's Army (KPA) have re-asserted that they would not go for cease fire or peace talk with the Government of lndia.
The party would never give up the fight for freedom, conveyed a press release issued by the outfit's central committee.
After UPPK advisor Meisnam Biren alias Chaamba of Sagolband, former chairman Bonbihari alias Laangamba of Thangmeiband, external affairs secretary Kritibabu alias Uraaba of Kwakeithel Moirangpurel and Laishram Ranjit alias Khuman of Mayang Imphal have left the party, UPPK general secretary Ningthoujam Shanti alias Chinglemba Magnang of Wahengbam Leikai, finance secretary Langpoklakpam Inaocha alias Birjit of Konjeng Leikai and organising secretary Konthoujam Homeshwor alias Chingkhei Konthoujam were arrested under suspicious circumstances.
After these events, KPA officers held a marathon meeting together with central committee member and home secretary Lemba from December 1 to 3 last year.
As decided at the meeting, all the vacant posts were filled with acting chairman Lemba taking the charge of general secretary and home secretary together.
Poirei Mangang took charge of deputy finance secretary and deputy external affairs secretary.
Konthou took charge of defence secretary; Lakpa assumed charge of chief of army staff and deputy organisation secretary Maj America took over the charge of information and publicity officer.
Even as the party's credibility before the mass and CorCom was given a blow after some self-centred leaders have left the party, UPPK appealed to all the leaders who have been arrested by security forces to stop any initiative of holding dialogue with the Government of India.
If the report that these leaders have been in keeping touch with the Government of India is true, UPPK would never forgive if the same initiative is aborted immediately, it warned.
UPPK would never cease its struggle against the alien rule until and unless the lost sovereignty of the land is restored.
The outfit also sought support from the people as well as the fraternal revolutionary groups.
