RIMS organises free medical camp

Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal organized a free medical camp at Thangjing Sindam Sanglen, Moirang today.
The team of RIMS destined for Moirang was flagged off by Professor N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS and S Sarat Singh, CAO/FA, RIMS from RIMS OPD Block, said a press release by Media Advisor RIMS.
Under the aegis of RIMS authority, the Non-Teaching Employees' Welfare Association (NTEWA) in association with the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Manipur organized the free medical camp.
Apart from organizing the free medical camp, NTEWA donated a sum of Rs.10,000 to members of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Manipur.
A team of specialist doctors from the departments of Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dermatology and Clinical Psychology treated and provided counselling to around 800 patients during the medical camp.
Free medicines were also distributed to the patients.
RIMS shall also be organizing a series of free medical camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs) at different affected places, added the release.
It is worth noting that various institutions and organizations across the State have been taking up commendable efforts for the welfare of IDPs with special focus on their physical well being amid this trying times.
