International Yoga Day held

Imphal, June 22 2017:
The 3rd International Yoga Day was observed at Multipurpose Hall, Senapati DHQ on June 21 .
ADC members Th Thekho Peter, B Hrai, Kissan Seva Samiti president Ng Kali and organising secretary BST Manipur L Haridas Singh attended the event as chief guest, president and guest of honour .
Convener of organising committee MS Jerome, stated how Prime Minister Narendra Modi influenced the international communities to acknowledge Yoga as a natural healer and conditioner for a healthy life .
Giving keynote address, Ranjit Singh of DIPR stated that Yoga has been accepted by the international communities as a healing practice for both physical and spiritual sickness and further encouraged everyone to practice Yoga .
A team from Imphal West led by Vano and Vijaya demonstrated the Common Yoga Protocol which was demonstrated by the participants including students of New Life College, Senapati .
Ng Kali and L Hardas spoke on the benefits of Yoga practices and exhorted everyone present at the event to avail the facilities provided by the Central Government for yoga enthusiasts .
Th Thekho Peter, who himself is a Yoga enthusiast, lauded the organisers and the participants of the function .
On June 21, International Yoga Day was observed in every district of the State.
