Citizens Welfare Front (CWF) : New front floated

A new organisation christened Citizens Welfare Front (CWF) has been established with the primary objective of enabling youth take leading roles in tackling major issues of the State.
Speaking to media persons at their Patsoi Part I office this morning, CWF chairman cum founder Mangal Meitei said that the front was formed by youth belonging to indigenous communities of Manipur who have been here before October 15, 1949 .
The front has already started inking memorandum of understanding with different organisations working at the grassroots level so that youth belonging to indigenous communities of Manipur like Meiteis, Kukis, Nagas and Meitei Pangals can work together on common issues of the State rather than working at community level with a parochial outlook, claimed Mangal Meitei.
The front would issue identity cards to youngsters of different communities who have never committed any sort of crime after obtaining recommendations from their respective communities.
The front would soon launch an awareness campaign throughout the length and breadth of Manipur with a vision to rope in youngsters of different communities in tackling common issues of the State, Mangal added.
