Imphal, December 15 2013:
Projected BJP candidate for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election in Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency Dr RK Ranjan has asserted that youngsters have been subjected to a big moral blow resulting in a situation of serious social unrest on account of the abject failure of the incumbent Congress Government on social security front.
Speaking at a booth committee meeting organised by BJP Yaiskul Mandal today, Dr Ranjan said that Congress Governments of both the Centre and the State have failed miserably as far as governance is concerned.
As a result of the communal policies of the Congress Government, there is no semblance of social security and this has given a serious moral blow to youngsters.
Both the Government of India as well as the State Government have failed to protect the boundary of Manipur.
Pointing out that people's consent was not sought when the Congress Government gifted away Manipur's Kabow Valley to Myanmar, Dr Ranjan questioned if this was a sign of good governance.
Slamming the Congress Government for its inability to bring out a blueprint/white paper about development projects which would be taken up in the State, the aspiring MP candidate questioned the wisdom of keeping Congress party in power.
The Government is also shying away from its responsibility of providing healthcare, education and other basic requirements to the people.
Alleging that the Congress Government has failed on all fronts, Dr Ranjan stated that it's time to replace the incumbent Government with a new one.
Claiming that BJP is secular political party whose ideology is centred around value based politics, Dr Ranjan said major issues of the State and people's aspirations can be tabled in the Parliament if people elect BJP MPs in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.
If the people are determined to topple the corruption-ridden Congress Government, BJP is the only option.
Prof Gangmumei Kamei, another projected BJP candidate for the Outer Parliamentary AC said that Congress has no moral authority to criticise BJP.
To BJP, there is no difference between different communities.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba and others too spoke at the meeting.
