RPF exposes GoI's 'covert strategies'

Imphal, September 13 2013 :
It is universal for any imperialist country to exercise all its powers towards controlling and suppressing liberation movements waged by the colonised nations.
Imperialist countries usually employ two kinds of strategies in their efforts to suppress liberation movements.
First, they unleash brute force to intimidate and oppress people and at the same time, they would project themselves as humane and caring by distributing food items, clothes and other articles from time to time.
This strategy is everyday experience of colonised people but the second type of strategies are often perplexing and cannot be easily identified, according to a press statement issued by the proscribed RPF's Publicity Secretary Roben Khuman.
One common strategy which belongs to the second category is fomenting communal conflicts.
This is visible in Manipur as well as other States of the North East region.
In any legitimate armed movement, there are two opposing groups, the oppressed people and the oppressors.
People of Manipur belong to the first group while Government of India represents the second group.
Whereas the first group has been struggling for decolonization, GoI is engaged in a project of re-colonization.
There are no cases throughout the history of the world where the oppressed people did not win over the oppressors when they struggled collectively.
To avoid collective movement is the one of most important strategies of imperialist countries.
That is why, they have been always scheming to create communal animosity and conflict.
To bring about such a situation, the oppressor group would promote separate identity for each community and ultimately the indigenous communities would be pitched against each other for control of territory by re-writing their history erroneously.
This is a suicidal war but that is exactly what is happening in Manipur and all over the North East region.
The second strategy is supplying drugs to youngsters.
In 1980's, majority of the youngsters were eager to join the liberation movement and they were enthusiastic to hold a weapon in their hands.
Alarmed by the unfolding scenario, GoI and its agents conspired to make the youngsters addicted to heroine and hold a syringe in their hands in place of guns.
As a result of such sinister conspiracy, many were infected with AIDS while many others have died of the dreaded disease.
The third strategy was to draw attention of the youngsters towards a sports movement by providing them sports materials.
GoI made such a strategic shift because they feared that HIV which had already infected many youngsters in Manipur would spread to other Indian States.
Outstanding sports persons thus groomed were inducted in CRPF, Army, Police, Navy, BSF and other central services.
The fourth strategy is to recruit maximum number of VDF and police personnel so that majority of the youngsters stay away from the liberation movement.
The fifth strategy is to groom a new class of educated people who are interested only in their own career without any sense of dedication and commitment towards the national cause.
This new class of educated people went on to become high ranking bureaucrats and they are now notorious for graft practices, extra marital affairs and apathy towards common man.
This is a product of misplaced 'quality education', the outfit asserted.
The sixth strategy is to turn all youngsters having some money into contractors whose works are all sub-standard.
Whereas the contract works were obtained using the name of armed opposition groups, the young contractors would revel with Ministers and commandos at night.
The seventh strategy is to fragment the Meira Paibi groups who are actively engaged in tackling all kinds of social ills.
The eight strategy came in the form of Look East Policy and the different agreements GoI signed with 10 members of ASEAN after 1992.All these agreements have a clause on fighting terrorism collectively.
The Look East Policy was, in fact, conceptualised with the idea of improving the economy of West Bengal.
After Bengal lost Chittagong sea port with the creation of Bangladesh, the economy of Bengal suffered a severe setback.
Bengal is hoping that their economy would get major boost once the Trans Asian Highway becomes a reality.
That is why, Bengal claimed that it is a part of the North East region despite strong objections from the intellectuals of Assam.
The ninth strategy would come in the form of an instruction from New Delhi to the Governments of Bangladesh, Burma and other neighbouring countries to pay special attention to Manipuris settled there.
GoI may even instruct the neighbouring countries to arrest Manipuris settled there if they are helping the revolutionary groups of Manipur.
GoI has already made the first move by sending heads of States to the neighbouring countries who spoke sweetly to the Manipuris settled there.
RPF asserted.
All these strategies of GoI aimed at suppressing the liberation movement and keep Manipur under their control for good would ultimately eliminate all the Manipuris from the surface of Earth sooner rather than later, warned the outfit.
It further called upon all the people to join the liberation spearheaded by RPF and make Manipur a free nation.
