In connection with the second anniversary of its foundation day, AMADA feted children directly or indirectly affected by HIV/AIDS.
The children were provided sweets and stationery items today.
The AMADA activists led by its president L Tomba feted the children at Hands for Peaceful Society, User Manipur, Manipur Network of Positive People, Care Foundation and Kripa Society.
The HIV/AIDS affected children staying there pleaded to treat them properly and not to harass them in schools or society.
One class VII student who has been suffering because of her father's addiction to drug said that her father and mother used to quarrel very often causing serious disturbance in her study.
Saying that she would love to study a lot, the girl prayed that her father may give up drugs.
Another class V student who has been living with her aged grandmother following death of both her parents due to HIV conveyed the woes being encountered by her grandmother to send her to school.
AMADA human resource development secretary Bobo appealed to the society to help all these children affected by HIV/AIDS so that they can nurture their talents and become competent citizens.
