Around 500 people turned up to avail the benefits of a free health check-up camp held at Chandonpokpi Community Hall in Bishnupur district.
The one-day health camp was organized by Lions Club Leimarol, Imphal in collaboration with Kumbi Kendra Development Committee.
In the camp which around 500 people mostly women and children turned up 11 docotrs including Dr Bilasini and Bidhumukhi of Gynae, Dr Romio and Norlika of ENT, Dr Brajamohon and Ibemhal of Paedritics, Dr Deepak of surgery conducted the medical check-up.
Villagers of Leishan Tampak, G Shanggel, Khodang, Khenuon and K Phijon of Churachnapdur district, Chandanpokpi, Chingyapat, Khoijumantabi, Laigoubi, Thoubaltabi and Khullakpat of Bishnupur, Nungoo, Chairen and Khongyam of Thoubal district turned up to avail the benefits of the free mega health check-up camp.
The camp was first ever in the last around 30 years in the area, expressed the villagers of the remote villages who turned up for health check up with happy on the conduct of the camp in the area.
Dr Ibemhal after the health camp observed that most of the children suffered from diseases related with malnutrition, cough.
Some children are also found suffering from heart disease.They will be guided for further treatment, she said adding if needed operation will be perform free of cost.
