Senapati prepares for Exchange programme

Everything is set in order for the one day Cultural and Musical Exchange programme jointly organised by Senapati District Students Association and Kuki Students' Organization, Sadar Hills in association with Student Mobilization Initiatives Learning through Exposure, SMILE at Senapati Mini Stadium on May 24 .
Organizing Secretary of the event, Lamcha Chongloi informed that the organising committee, which is formed by the two student bodies is committed and resolute in its vision towards facilitating a broader outlook of healthy, meaningful and enriching co-existence among different communities which otherwise has become a great impediment to development and communal harmony, particularly in a diversified State like Manipur.
The Committee is expecting the congregation of around 1000 participants from both the two communities under the theme "Building relations through Music" .
While highliting the programme, the organizing secretary detailed that reaching out beyond the borders of different cultural, traditions, talents and historical facts, the occasion will witness the display of cultural presentation from both the Kukis and the Nagas communities.
"It has also been decided to organize a common feast during to signify the sharing of food among brothers and thereby creating a sense of togetherness", further added Lamcha.
Rev Y Haokip from the Kuki community and Rev S Kaikho Hokey will deliver short messages.
The artists included Lammeilhing, SDSA Voice Hunt winner 2012, Lhainei, Pr Paotingen, Shangchuiphy and Hoineichong while musical bands like Ahrii Dziila Male Voice, Mom in Touch, Life Pages, Dew Drop, The Rejected Gentlement, Rigid Collision and Lost&Found Bands are all set to rock the stage.
They also appealed all concerned not to call or impose any kinds of bandhs, blockade and general strike in the state for smooth functioning of the programme.
