Poultry/cattle feeds plant inaugurated

A poultry and cattle feeds' senior pellet plant of M/s Agocon's Agro Products located at Changangei Uchekon, Tabungkhok Road has been inaugurated today by Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai Devi.
The first of its kind in the State the plant is expected to atleast address the problem of poultry and cattle feeds shortages, an issue familiar with Manipur whenever disruption is caused to transportation of goods.
Noting that in the last few years number of meat consumers as well as livestock farmers have gone up substantially, Minister Mirabai said setting up of the poultry and cattle feeds plant would further boost the State's economy.
She also observed that increase in the number of small time poultry farmers testify that the present generation are determined to live a respectable life through self employment ventures.
While former Minister L Jayentakumar and SP (Bishnupur) Th Radheshyam Singh were also present at the inauguration ceremony, Dr SK Khanna (retd) Poultry Disease and investigation Officer (Ambala), who is also the Ms Agocon's Agro Products consultant and nutrient highlighted benefits of feeding pellet feeds to poultry livestock.
