MNPF lambasts GoI, NSCN-IM

Manipur Naga People Front (MNPF) said that Nagas, particularly who reside in Manipur, have been suffering for a long under the twin masters - the Government of India and NSCN-IM.
In a press statement, MNPF assistant publicity secretary Thomas Numai said, "Our land has become a land of anarchy and left with chaos in the name of ceasefire between GoI and NSCN-IM" .
After the ceasefire with GoI, NSCN-IM flexed their muscles against the Naga people, Thomas Numai said and appealed to all Nagas, especially, intellectuals and those who are working for the society to protect Nagas from the 'colonial' behaviour of India as well as from the 'treacherous' acts of NSCN-IM.
Thomas Numai said, "Yesterday's wrong is causing bloodshed today.
Today's wrong will shed blood tomorrow.
Social organizations and religious leaders are shepherd/watchmen of the society.
Therefore we ask you to be vigilant and take proper actions timely" .
The prolonged ceasefire between GoI and NSCN-IM provides own benefit only to the NSCN-IM leaders and some of their adherent followers, Thomas Numai said.
Core issue of Naga National movement for sovereignty and independence is left behind and they brought up many confusing issues in their several talks, Thomas Numai said and added that impact of such became discriminating to the Naga factual struggle and their activities for some benefits would not bring anything positive for the society except creating hatred and animosity amongst people.
Thomas Numai said that India wishes to run its administration on such conditions which enable them to subjugate the society.
Saying that it is time to identify the 'notorious' acts of India, Thomas Numai said that people should launch strong mass movements against India.
During ceasefire, India and NSCN-IM have corroborated with conspiracy, awful inhuman endeavours which they call themselves are an act of valour, Thomas Numai said and added that Naga-Kuki conflict is an example of such conspiracy.
Today as well, Thomas Numai said, Assam Rifles are encouraging all kinds of criminal activities to NSCN-IM.
On the otherhand, they also oppress hill people by using their motto 'Friends of the Hills People' .
The assassination of ADC Member Ngalangzar by NSCN-IM should not be shrouded by Naga civil society organizations, in particular Tangkhul organizations.
Otherwise, the Naga society particularly Tangkhul unity may become deteriorated, Thomas Numai said.
He said that those who work in the name of Naga people should not act as a messenger of NSCN-IM.
He said, "We advise all Naga Civil Society Organization to render your service impartially" .
He further warned to all the compatriots, especially social workers should be careful from those divisive acts.
He urged the Naga people to raise up against the Indian 'colonialism'.
At the same time, he also appealed to their compatriots to resist against the atrocities of the NSCN-IM.
