CM assures upgradation of Bishnupur District Hospital

The newly constructed Block C, Block D and operation theatre of Bishnupur District Hospital were inaugurated by Chief Minister O Ibobi during a function as Chief Guest today.
Organized by Directorate of Health Services, Manipur, the inaugural function was also attended by Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing as President while Commerce & Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam; Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar and Parliamentary Secretary M Prithviraj Singh as Guests of Honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Ibobi said that his government will try to upgrade the 50 bedded Bishnupur District Hospital to 100 bedded one and for this certain acres of land around the hospital have to be acquired.
He stated that the office of the Veterinary Department situated on the north-west side of the hospital will be shifted to some other place and certain acres of land lying freely around the hospital will also be acquired to do the needful.
Asserting that expansion of the hospital is needed for ensuring proper medical facilities to people of the district, the CM called upon the medical staffs of the hospital to render their services honestly and wholeheartedly.
S Bira, MLA of Kumbi A/C; Loken, MLA of Nambol A/C; Dr Suhel Akhtar, Principal Secretary and several other doctors of the hospital were also present on the occasion.
