Imphal, April 10 2011:
All Manipur DPC Faced Candidates Association for Primary and Hindi Graduate Teachers 2006 has said that it will impose a 24-hour State wide bandh with effect from April 15 midnight if the Government fails to declare the exact result submitted by the enquiry committee within April 14 .
Speaking to the media today, president of the association, S Indira Devi said that the State Government must be responsible for any untoward incident which may happen during the stir.
Although the Government had assured on the floor of the State Assembly that the interview result would be announced after the enquiry committee submitted its report before March 31, S Indira said, the assurance has not yet materialised.
Maintaining that most of the enquiry reports in the State are kept in dark rooms without implementing any recommendation she also expressed apprehension that the report on DPC results may also face the same fate.
S Indira also alleged that quality of education in schools and colleges are degrading day by day due to corrupt practices of the MLAs and Ministers.
S Indira further observed that the DPC result must be announced at the earliest as the new session has already commenced.
She also appealed the right thinking citizens of the State to fight against corruption.
