Imphal, October 08 2010:
Taking serious note of the demand of Rs 1 crore purportedly served by a UG group to the Council of Higher Secondary Education, All Manipur Students Guardians' Organisation has appealed to the party concerned to revoke the demand in consideration of the future of the students.
Talking to mediapersons in this connection at its office at Palace Compound today, president of the Organisation, R Rehang Chothe pointed out that students, who are the future pillars of the society, would only be the loser if the Council could not conduct the upcoming examination for class XI and XII as a result of the monetary demand.
Loss of one academic year in the life of the students would never be compensated.
So, in consideration of the future of the students, the demand for Rs 1 crore should be withdrawn, the president appealed.
