UKRA clarifies

The United Komrem Revolutionary Army (UKRA) has denied having any relations with Ngamgouneo Kilong and two others namely Kh Sanatomba and Thongkhohao Touthang who were arrested by Imphal West district police commandos near Kasturi Bridge few days back.
A statement issued today by SBB Kom, information and publicity secretary of UKRA said that Ngamgouneo Kilong was once a cadre of the outfit.
He however left the outfit's designated camp, Camp Salem (KNO) on October 30, 2012 without the permission of the camp in-charge.
When he remained traceless, the parents of Ngamgouneo were asked to hand over him at the camp on February 13 which was also not materialised, the statement said.
Further, refuting the arms recovered from him as belonging to the outfit, the UKRA said it has no knowledge over the acts committed by Ngamgouneo out of the SoO ground rules.
The outfit has also denied having any relation with the two others arrested along with Ngamgouneo.
