Children Home charity tour concludes

The Charity Tour of Agape Children Home, Kanggui where more than 40 orphanage children live and strive to excel in life under the leadership of Joseph Hekhup Kipgen, concluded at Gamnom Sapormeina community hall today.
Agape Children Home Kanggui started its Charity Tour on December 1 from Kanggui community hall with the second held at Keithelmanbi on December 7 followed by the third final tour culminating today at Gamnom Sapormeina.
Today's Charity Tour, also comprising a special programme was graced by Opendra Singh, SDC Gamnom Sapormeina and Thanglensei Kipgen, Branch Manager, SBI Sapormeina Branch as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively while MDC Lunthang Haokip, EM ADC Sadar Hills attended the program as special guest.
Lamkholen Kipgen, Organizing Committee chairman in his keynote address stated that the Tour was organised to provide general public of Sadar Hills a platform to help children who have no one to look and care for them.
"There is a big difference between orphans and more fortunate children", Lamkholen said while noting that number orphanage children have been multiplying each in 'our land' .
"Children whose parent are still alive have only one father and one mother but orphanage children have thousands of father and mother because every father and mother are their parents", said Opendra Singh in his
encouragement speech.
He further exhorted the orphanage children to do everything on time with determination to become a respectable person in future.
"No one in this world is orphan in the eyes of God because God himself is the father as well as mother for everyone of us", said Thanglensei Kipgen adding that most of the VVIPs in the world have orphanage background.
The day's special guest Lunthang Haokip lauded the organizing committee for their bold steps in guiding so many orphanage children whose future is totally dark.
He also asked everyone including social workers, Govt.officials and other VIPs as well as parents and guardians "When will you help and give time for the orphanage children?" .
Joseph Hekhup Kipgen, Father of Agape Children Home, Kanggui conveyed gratitude to all who contributed for the success of the tour.
As part of the concluding tour cultural dance from various troupes and gospel melodies by numerous artistes were also staged/presented.
