Governor, Chief Minister, Speaker and various individuals and organisations greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Gaan-Ngai festival.
In his message, Governor Gurbachan Jagat said Gaan-Ngai is an important festival of Kabui Naga community.
The festival is asso ciated with a common feast, dances and presentation of gifts, thereby strengthening bonds of unity and integrity.
While celebrating the festival, we should resolve to follow the spiritual and moral values that it conveys, in order to make the festival meaningful" .
While extending greetings to the people, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi said that the edifice of oneness amongst various communities get strengthened in celebrating a festival, which is what Manipuri society calls for.
In his message, Speaker Dr S Budhichandra expressed belief that the festival would tighten the bond of love among different communities living together in the State.
MPCC president Gaikhangam in his Gaan-Ngai greetings wished for prosperity and harmony be prevailed in the State.
Manipur People's Party (MPP) also extended warm wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Gaan-Ngai festival.
