UCM calls for peaceful coexistence

United Committee Manipur and Sirarakhong Sinakeithel Ringui (SISIRI) Farmers Society jointly organised a COVID-19 awareness and urea distribution programme at Sinakeithel village in Ukhrul district today.
Today's programme was graced by Headman of Sinakeithel village, V Cannan Phungshin Zimik, president of UCM, Joychandra Konthoujam and vice chairman of Sinakeithel village, Wungnaopam Machung as the presidium members and Dr Th Ritamadhuri attended as the resource person, said a press release by UCM.
The United Committee Manipur expressed that the people in the hills and valley have always shared a strong bond of brotherhood and stressed on the need to instill such ideas of love and trust in today's youth for a peaceful coexistence.
UCM also further stated that it will extend best possible help to Sinakeithel village for any developmental programmes which will be taken up in the future.
The committee also called for collective from all to strive for a better and unified Manipur.
UCM also condemned the brutal killing of two residents of Sinakeithel village and urged the Government to award befitting punishments to the culprits.
Urea fertilizers, seeds of winter crops and AYUSH medicines were also distributed to the farmers.
The farmers were also sensitized on the need to adherence of Covid SOPs to protect oneself from the dreaded Coronavirus.
