The two clans of Sangaiyumpham who clashed twice resulting in injuries on both sides in the last two/three months have finally come to an agreement.
The two sides had a face to face meeting in the Chief Minister's official residence this morning.
The meeting was also attended by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Allaudin Khan, Thoubal DC, SP and members of the Peace Committee constituted in the aftermath of the violent clash.
According to the committee's chairman Md Abdur Rehman, an MoU has been signed between the two parties with six members representing each of the clan.
The two sides have come to an understanding to avoid similar incidents and conflicts in future.
Moreover, it is being considered to secure release of all the persons arrested in connection with the violent confrontations after deposing before Court that the two sides have settled their conflicts, the chairman added.
