Imphal, July 26 2014 :
The Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) has in press release conveyed that a meeting was held on July 25, 2014 at its Head Office and the meeting commenced at 12:30 pm as per scheduled circulated.
The release further mentioned that the meeting was convened in pursuant to resolution No.1 of the ZYF emergency meeting held on July 15, 2014 at Zeliangrong House, Tamenglong HQ wherein decided to convene another meeting to take further necessary course of step in connection with the life threat, attempted physical attack coupled with derogatory remarks, disrespectful, dishonor, insulted and humiliated in most contemptuous manner to Titus Kamei, President, ZYF (AMN) on July 11, 2014 by Ningtinglung alias Johny Gonmei.
There are some persons who accompanied Ningtinglung alias Johny Gonmei during the incident.
It is also learnt from reliable source that Ningtinglung is always moving around with two-three gunmen whether provided by State Government or whatever.
Such situation has given great doubt which could create any eventuality to ZYF President and any other ZYF Executive.
The ZYF in its emergency meeting mentioned above served intimation letter to Ningtinglung alias Johny Gonmei through ZYF Nungba Zone to tender apology for his misconduct, misdeed and mistake committed against social leader within seven days time counting July 16, 2014 as day one and to be expired on July 22, 2014.But Ningtinglung alias Johny Gonmei did not tender apology for his mistake and criminal acts committed against social leader, it said.
To err is human but it is natural and precedent practice that even the most powerful people tender apology to any aggrieved person in case of any misdeed and mistake is committed.
If threatening social leader with dire consequences etc mentioned above is considered as nothing wrong then the situation has compelled to take precautionary measures, it narrated.
