The Nungba Area Village Authority Council (NAVAC) during a meeting held on October 8 adopted resolutions to demand the State Government for taking up necessary action against the erring officials for leaving the place of posting for a long period of time.
In a press release, the Council said that irregularity of Nungba SDO at his station has caused hardships particularly to students' community.
Students have to rush to Imphal to obtain even simple certificates thereby compelling them to incur huge expenditure, the press release added.
The Council also demanded the State Government to justify why necessary diet provisions under Social Welfare Department are not provided to children of the area for the last six years.
There is neither ICDS office in the area nor CDPO and Cashier visit the area, the press release added.
Taking serious note regarding functioning of the Electricity Department, the Council said that a 16-year-old boy was electrocuted due to the negligence of the Department recently.
