With the broad objective of imparting adequate skill in poultry, vermicompost, value addition of fruits and vegetables, mushroom cultivation and importance of balance diet, the Nehru Yuva Kendra and the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Imphal West is organizing 7 days intensive training for 16 Ex-NYC Volunteers of NYK Imphal at the Conference Hall of ICAR for NEH Region, Imphal.
In the inaugural function of the training programme which was held today, Dr N Prakash, Jt Director ICAR and Jackie Ruivah, Zonal Director NYKS Imphal highlighted the basic objectives and importance of organizing the training Programme, said a statement.
Sanyaola K Raman, Project Coordinator of KVK and Y Laxman Singh DYC, NYK also attended in the inaugural function.
It is expected that by the end of the training programme the participating youths will develop adequate knowledge and skills on agriculture and farming technique for generating more income of the youths.
Meanwhile, a three-day life skill education training programme began today at the premises of Social Development and Sporting Club, Pangaltabi under the aegis of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Thoubal.
The inaugural programme was attended by Ahongsangbam Dhiren Singh, pradhan of Pangaltabi GP and K Lokendro, member of District Advisory Committee on Youth Programme, NYK as the chief guest and president respectively.
Around 30 trainees registered participation in the programme.
