The MPP President made the above statement in the sit in protest organised by his party at the party office gate.
He further added that MPP is invited at the All Political Parties meeting, announcing that he will insist for implementation of ILPS during the meeting.

Referring to the two assembly resolutions of 2012 and 2013 which not materialized at all, the MPP President alleged that the two resolutions were not implemented into action as the Government has lack of seriousness over the issue.
He condemned the police excesses while handling the young students during the ILP demand agitations and further demanded to release, without any condition, the members of civil society organisations and meira paibis who were now in Imphal Central jail arrested in connection with the ILPS agitation.
Citing the demographic pattern of the State, Sovokiran stated that the total population of Meitei in Manipur State is 7.50 lakh while the population of the non local is 7.4 lakh and Meitei Pangal is 1.67 lakh, maintaining that the assembly statement of no outsiders in Manipur is wrong and misleading.
He also reminded the policy of the British which protected the indigenous people of Assam, Tripura, Manipur and its natural and forest products from external exploitation by enacting Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation Act, 1873.However, Sovakiran continued, this safeguard for indigenous people was removed from the State of Manipur after merging the State in Indian Union in 1947 .
Sovakiran further stated that India is second largest country in terms of population and then, why should India encourage migrant influx from the neighboring countries such as Bangladesh, Myanmar and Nepal etc.
Should India want to compete with China in population, the MPP president questioned.
Conclusively, he said that India and Manipur Government should work coherently on the issue so as to implement ILPS in Manipur, declaring that MPP will exercise all possible effort for ILPS accomplishment.
