22 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) based at Maram in Senapati district organised a medical camp cum health lecture at one of the company locations.
Representatives from six villages namely Paomata, T Khullen, Makufi, Sapermeina, Tungam and Mataosoum attended the lecture on common disease presently prevalent in Manipur including HIV/AIDS.
10 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) also conducted a work-shop on HIV/AIDS at COB Aigejang yesterday.
A total of 1 officer, 4 JCOs, 70 ORs and 120 civilians of the six villages namely Aigejang, Bompijang, Boichang, Aishi and Bethoi attended the workshop.
A lecture accompanied by HIV tests were also conducted under the supervision of RMO.
All tests were conducted after obtaining the consent of the persons concerned, PRO AR said in a statement.
