Unidentified man locks Nambol school

The Development Protection United Voluntary Organisation has urged the concerned to make a clarification on locking of Nambol Leirel High School by a person who identified himself as an RPF activist yesterday.
In a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today, secretary of the organisation, Thouchom Netaji said that a man who identified himself as an RPF activist and appeared to be of around 27-28 years of age came at the school at around 6 pm and locked the rooms of teaching staff and school office after taking the keys from the school chowkidar.
The secretary said that the man told the chowkidar of the school, Konthoujam Ibomcha (60) that the teachers are arrogant.
Owing to the closure of the teachers' room and office, the school suspended classes today.
Saying that the school is being run without Principal after its Principal was transferred to another school in March 2013, Thouchom Netaji demanded the concerned that the matter be clarified at the earliest.
The man also left a mobile phone number (8794067264) with the chowkidar before he went away with the keys, he added.
