Second round of ministry expansion with AICC consent, says O Ibobi

Chief Minister Okram ibobi Singh has categorically asserted that expansion of the Congress ministry would be effected only with the consent of the party's high command.
Talking to some newspersons at the CM's Secretariat Office Chamber today, Ibobi said All India Congress Committee high command is scheduled to meet on the ministry expansion at New Delhi on April 16 and relevant process would be undertaken for the actual expansion some days after the AICC session.
Highlighting that three senior party MLAs have been allocated portfolios in the first phase of the ministry expansion, the Chief Minister reiterated that MLAs to be inducted in the next phase expansion would be decided at the April 16 meeting, which will be attended by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and other Central leaders of the party.

Hinting at finalising minority Muslim and ST representatives in the ministry at the AICC session, he also informed that in conformity with the 33 percent women's reservation approved by the Rajya Sabha Congress party's central leaders will also figure out on the portfolios for women MLAs elected to the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly.
The CM is also slated to leave for the national capital and return to the State with the AICC-approved list of Ministers.
