Two more succumb to take toll to 380, 92 more positive

Imphal, April 21 2021:
Manipur recorded two more deaths in the last 24 hours to take the death tally to 380 while 92 more persons tested positive for the virus during the same period.
According to a statement issued from the COVID-19 Common Control Room, two more persons passed away in the last 24 hours to take the death tally to 380 .
The deceased, both women, included an 80 year old woman from Kakching and a 63 year old woman from Jiribam.
They passed away at RIMS and Babina Speciality Hospital respectively.
In the last 24 hours, 92 persons including 88 from the general population and four personnel of Central Armed Police tested positive, said the statement.
Incidentally out of the 92 new positive cases, 6 were detected from amongst those who arrived by air during the last 24 hours.
The positive cases were detected at JNIMS (19), RIMS (6), Imphal West RAT (4), Maipakpi (1), Mother's Care (1), Little Clinic (1), RD Wing (3), Raj Medicity (1), Lamjingba (1), Asian Hospital (1), Shija Hospital (4), Public Hospital (1), Jivan Hospital (2), SWISS (1), Babina Diagnostics (34), Escent Diagnostics (3), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (1), Chandel (2), Churachandpur (3) and Kangpokpi (1) .
The number of active cases as of April 21 has increased to 453 and this includes 409 from the general population and 44 Central security personnel, lowering the recovery rate to 97.21 pc from the 97.44 of April 20 .
The total number of people discharged in the last 24 hours is 22 and they include 1 CAPF, home isolation (17), RIMS (1), JNIMS (1), RD Wing (1) and Shija (1) .
With 92 more positive, the cumulative number of positive cases is 29,961 (general population-26471 and Central security personnel-3490) .
On the other hand the cumulative number of recovered cases stands at 29,128 (general population-25,686 and Central security personnel-3442) .
The number of persons who have received the vaccination shot is 1,13,651 .
All those who are above 45 years of age have also been asked to get vaccinated immediately at RIMS, JNIMS, district hospitals, CHCs, PHCs, and select private hospitals.
The Covid Control Room has also asked air passengers who travelled to the State on April 19 by Air India flight AI 889 and sat on rows 27-32, Indigo flight 6E-172 in rows 19-26 to inform the Common Covid Control Room (1800345818) or respective Surveillance Officers immediately.
