Imphal, July 12 2025: A van caught fire at Kabow Leikai near LMS Law College today at around 1.28 pm, with most parts of the vehicle being burnt.

According to the Manipur Fire Services, the van, white in colour with an Assam registration number, caught fire due to engine overheating.

The Fire Services stated that the control room received the report of the incident late.

The fire, nonetheless, was doused by deploying a motorcycle equipped with a water mist system and a four wheeler vehicle with advanced firefighting technology, it added.
