KVWA, MPSC emerge handball champions

Imphal, May 16 2024: KVWA (Mayang Imphal) clinched the men's title while MPSC secured the women's crown in the 46th Senior Men & Women State Level Handball Championship 2024.KVWA claimed a resounding 32-23 win over MPSC in the final of the men's competition played at Lilong Mairenkhong on Thursday.

Ratankumar stood out in their title triumph, scoring 10 goals.

Kiranjit did his bit with five goals while Manichandra netted three, coupled with goals from other players.

In the women's summit clash, MPSC beat YLK (Chingrel Tejpur) 22-17 as both Ch Luxmi and M Dimple scored seven goals, Shandyarani and Apabi netted two each, and Sunibal and Sushila added one apiece in their memorable title victory.

L Nomika (YLK) won the best player in the women's category while Ratankumar (KVWA) was named the best player in the men's category.

On the other hand, Th Priyadarsini (MPSC) received the best women's goalkeeper trophy as Tomba (MPSC) took home the men's best player accolade.
