VFC edge TRVSA 6-5 in 23rd Challenge Cup

Imphal, April 08 2025: VFC, Singjamei beat TRVSA, Malom by 6-5 goals in a high scoring Group D match of the ongoing 23rd Challenge Cup Football Tournament for veteran players at SAI NERC ground, Takyel.

A Jayenta (9', 53', 54', 59') led the scoring for VFC today as N Aken (10', 17') managed two goals.

S Gobin meanwhile opened the scoring for TRVSA in the 14th minute before Th Romen (18', 27', 46', 50') added four goals to make the dead rubber Group D match interesting.

FLAM, Yaiskul will square off against FLAK, Kyamgei in the final Group D match that will decide the group winners and runners up.

Later in the day, Thangmeiband FC were handed a walk over win against SVFC, Senapati who failed to turn up for a Group B match.
